So you wanna know a little more about this guy, eh?
Jeffrey Eisner (that’s me!) is a guy who loves to cook. But that doesn’t mean we have to be professional chefs to be Good cooks, right? I keep everything real here. It is all about showing that if I can do it, you can. I vow to use easily obtainable, accessible and affordable ingredients and to share recipes (both my own and others’) that will truly make you feel like you studied at some fancy schmancy culinary academy. You are going to be amazed at how easy cooking is!
From the time I was a kid growing up on Long Island, I’ve loved cooking. I’ve always found it therapeutic. I also find walking the aisles of the supermarket with terrible muzac playing therapeutic too if that says something about me. From the anecdotes my grandma shared while teaching me how to make stuffed cabbage to experimenting with recipes to be cooked SUPER efficiently and quickly in the latest electric pressure cooker craze (I use the Instant Pot brand), I’ve recently discovered my passion for sharing all the food I make in videos and so in 2017 Pressure Luck, an easy-to-follow video recipe blog, was born (and continues to evolve).
I used to be an award-winning branded content video producer for nearly 10 years, but I was never fulfilled in that career. And so as Pressure Luck quickly began to take off, I decided to leave that world behind and fully focus on recipe creating! I live in Queens (the best culinary region in NYC) with my partner, Richard. I absolutely love Queens – it’s been my home for over 15 years now. I am also the mega-proud uncle of my niece & nephew and am very family oriented in general. Family + Food = Everything.
Oh, and I love the theatre (musical nerd), game shows (I was on the $100,000 Pyramid in 2016!), retro/vintage 70s art & design (I own a few acrylic grape lights), 80s music (the best music decade in my lifetime), traveling (everywhere), eating (everything) and Disney (and may own more than one pair of Mickey ears).
