Instant Pot Hard-Boiled Eggs

by | May 27, 2017

Wanna make the easiest hardboiled eggs ever – the kind where you don’t even have to pre-boil water and where the shell just peels off with no pockmarks or nicks in your egg?
Well, look no further!  Your Instant Pot will change the way you hard-boil eggs forever!
This was a BREEZE. At last, boiling eggs is a joy!
And the best part? IT DOESN’T SMELL! NO eggy, sulphur like odors at all!
Here’s How I Made It!:
Begin by adding the trivet and some water to the Instant Pot.
Then take some eggs…
…and rest them on the trivet.
Secure the lid and cook at high pressure.
When done, carefully remove the hot eggs…
…and place right into an ice bath.
After the eggs have cooled down, peel them (you’ll notice how EASY this is!)
See?  The perfect hard-boiled egg!
Don’t believe me?  Cut inside and see how perfect the yolk cooked!
And if you still aren’t convinced, go suck an egg like this guy!
Seriously though, PERFECT for egg salad, potato salad, cobb salads or for eating on their own!
Use this method to also make horseradish deviled eggs and chopped liver!
  • Eggs (however many you want to fill the pot)

This method is PERFECT for egg salad, potato salad, cobb salads or for eating on their own!

You should also use this method to make some seriously amazing horseradish deviled eggs and chopped liver!

  1. Lay down the little raised wire rack that came with the Instant Pot in the pot
  2. Add 1 cup of water to the Instant Pot
  3. Lay the eggs on top of the rack
  4. Hit “Manual” or “Pressure Cook” High Pressure for 5 minutes
  5. Natural release for 5 minutes, then quick release the rest
  6. Put the eggs in a cold water bath for about 90 seconds (change the water midway through because it will warm up fast)
  7. Peel and prepare as you wish
  8. Enjoy!
